Faial Botanical Garden

This garden is located in Quinta de São Lourenço, in the Flamengos valley, on the island of Faial. The space attracts its visitors since 1986 making a scientific and ecological contribution. It is made up of greenhouses and free spaces, where you can learn about plants and enjoy the beauty of this space that is mainly for research.

Garden of the Viewpoint of Ponta do Sossego

The diversity of flowers and flower beds, always very careful, make of this place the biggest garden of the county of the Northeast that is located in the island of São Miguel. This garden is set in a belvedere, where you can enjoy magnificent flower beds, with very bright colors and still venture out on a picnic, or simply enjoy this area overlooking the sea.

Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park

The Natural Park of Ribeira dos Caldeirões is located along the course of the clear waters of Ribeira dos Caldeirões, in the parish of Achada in the county of Northeast, on the island of São Miguel.
In this natural park is possible to observe an abundant and varied flora. What really deserves more attention in this area of the natural park, is the existence of a waterfall, which enchants all.
In this park there are old water mills, and in one of them there is an ethnographic museum. The millers’ houses were transformed into handicraft shops and rural tourism.
The waters of the river will serve as soundtrack while you make your walk and enjoy this park.

José do Canto Garden

Jardim José Canto is located in the city of Ponta Delgada in São Miguel, being a space of great scenic and botanical interest.
This green zone began to be planted in 1845 by José do Canto, and over time was visited by countless national and foreign personalities, including King D. Carlos and US President Franklin Roosevelt.
In the space of the garden there are several buildings, lakes and lots of vegetation. It is an ideal garden to spend a moment to explore and enjoy nature in its simplest state.

Duque da Terceira Garden


Jardim Duque da Terceira is located in the city of Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira Island. It stands out for the variety of plants, a lot of color and balance. In addition to giving us a magnificent flora, we are invited to walk through this garden with several monuments, from where we can see the sea and the city.

António Borges Garden

This garden is located in Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel. It was built in the 19th century and has a patrimonial value of great relevance. It is made up of exceptional arboreal heritage and a very diverse botanical diversity. It has a different touch with the presence of caves, tunnels, lakes and a magnificent cistern-lookout. This lookout cistern has the look of a castle built of volcanic stone that will give the feeling that it is part of a magical world.

Sant’Ana’s Palace Garden

This garden is located in the city of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel. This green space is part of the Palace of Sant’Ana and were built in the mid-nineteenth century. The botanical garden is a living museum. The natural and built elements that make up the garden convey a high level of history and culture, making this place an example of landscape art.
In this garden you can identify several different elements, from the area with lake, lawns and flower beds, to the existence of a vegetable garden.

This space is located on the island of São Miguel and is one of the most beautiful gardens of the Azores.
Terra Nostra Park is a century-old garden created more than 200 years ago by Thomas Hickling, being unique in species of trees, plants and other plant species.
